Follow the action so far

How-to Updated 8 Oct 2026

Open the whole hand so far at the table, street by street, with every bet as a share of the pot.

When you play several tables, it is easy to come back to one and forget who raised preflop or how big the flop bet was. The action so far keeps the whole hand on the table for you: a small plate tells you where the hand is, and one click opens every street played so far.

1

Choose when it shows

Click Settings on the rail, choose Overlays, and in the Action so far panel pick one of the four choices under When to show the action so far:

Choice The action so far is shown
While I'm in the hand While you are dealt in and haven't folded. This is the default.
When the action is on me Only while it is your turn to act.
Every hand On every hand being played at the table, even after you have folded.
Never Never.

Whichever you choose, nothing is shown until somebody has acted beyond posting the blinds, and it goes away when the hand ends.

When the action is on me needs the site to tell PokerLens whose turn it is. If the plate never appears with that choice, pick While I'm in the hand instead.

2

Read where the hand is

At the table, the action so far starts out shut, as one small plate in the top left corner just under the RNG. It shows the street being played and the pot as it stands right now, in big blinds, for example Flop · 27.5 bb.

3

Click to open the whole hand

Click the plate to open the ladder under it: one row for each street played so far. Each row starts with the street's cards (or its name, before any cards are out) and the pot the street started with, followed by every action on it.

Each action shows:

  • the player's seat (UTG, HJ, CO, BTN, SB, BB…), in the seat's color;
  • the player's screen name, cut after ten characters;
  • what they did: F fold, X check, C call, B bet, R raise, with the amount in big blinds;
  • for a bet or raise, its size as a share of the pot.

Your own actions are underlined. A row wraps onto a second line when it is wider than half the table.

For example, if you open on the button, the big blind 3-bets and you call, then the big blind bets on the flop, it reads something like:

Preflop  Pot 1.5   BTN you R2.5 60%  SB opponent1 F  BB opponent2 R10 136%  BTN you C7.5
A♥7♦2♣   Pot 20.5  BB opponent2 B7 34%

Click the plate again to shut it. A table remembers whether you left it open or shut from hand to hand for as long as it stays open; every newly opened table starts shut.

How the shares of the pot are worked out

Sizes are read the way the pot button reads them, so a pot-sized raise shows as 100%:

  • a bet is the amount bet divided by the pot it went into (7 into 20.5 is 34%);
  • a raise is the amount raised by, divided by the pot after the raiser had called.

That means a 75% bet preset reads back as 75% here. Preflop, the blinds count as bets already made, while antes are simply in the pot.

Move it if it's in the way

If the plate or the ladder covers something you need, drag it somewhere else. See Place the overlays on the felt.

If it doesn't work

  • Nothing shows: check that the choice isn't Never, and remember nothing appears before the first action after the blinds.
  • It disappears when I fold: that is what While I'm in the hand does. Choose Every hand to keep watching.
  • It's gone on every table: overlays aren't drawn once your license or trial has ended.
