Set up your poker sites

How-to Updated 8 Oct 2026

Download the sites you play, tell PokerLens who you are, and start tracking hands.

PokerLens tracks a site's hands only once you have set that site up. Each site is a small add-on PokerLens loads when it starts, and each one is read differently: WPN writes its hands to a folder, while ClubWPT Gold and CoinPoker are listened to while you play. This article takes you through all three.

1

Open Settings › Poker sites

Click Settings at the bottom of the rail, then Poker sites. Each site PokerLens has is listed with its initials, its name and how many hands you have from it. A site you haven't set up says Not configured. A site that is set up says Importing.

2

Download a site you don't have yet

Under Sites to download you see any site the website offers that isn't on your computer yet, with its version. Press Install next to it. When it says Installed, press Restart now. PokerLens restarts to load the site, and it then appears in the list above, ready to configure.

If nothing is listed, the website has no other sites right now. Press Look again later.

Close the site's poker client before you install or update it. If the download fails, PokerLens says The site could not be downloaded. Close the client and try again in a moment.

3

Configure the site

Press Configure on the site's row, or turn on its switch. The site's own settings window opens, and the switch stays on once you press Save. If you turn the switch off, PokerLens forgets that site's settings and stops tracking it.

What you fill in depends on the site. See the next three steps.

4

WPN (BlackChipPoker, Americas Cardroom and other WPN skins)

WPN is the one site that writes each hand to a file, so its window asks where those files are:

  • Hand history folder: where the client writes each hand as it is dealt. Press Find… to browse to it.
  • Tournament summary folder: where the client writes how each tournament finished.
  • Screen name: your name at the tables, so PokerLens knows which player is you.
  • Seat Count and Favourite seat: how many seats your tables have, and the seat you like to be shown in.
  • Poker client: where the client program is installed, for example C:\BlackChipPoker\BlackChipPoker.exe.

When PokerLens starts the WPN client itself, it hears each table live. A player shows up the moment they sit down, and a fold dims their panel straight away. If the client was started some other way, the HUD runs a hand behind, and a strip in PokerLens offers Restart the client. You can also press Restart the client so it can be heard in the WPN window. Either way, the client closes and starts again, and its shortcuts are set to start it that way from then on, so you only do this once.

Restarting the client closes every table you have open. Do it between sessions.

5

ClubWPT Gold

ClubWPT Gold doesn't save your hands anywhere, so PokerLens can only keep them while you play. In its window, turn on Keep this site's hands and press Save.

PokerLens can only listen to ClubWPT Gold if the client was started in a particular way. If the client is already running when you turn tracking on, a Track ClubWPT Gold window asks you to restart it, which takes about five seconds. Press Restart ClubWPT Gold, or Not now if you are in the middle of something. PokerLens never closes the client without asking you first.

Hands you play before you accept the restart cannot be recovered later, because ClubWPT Gold keeps no history of its own. If you are seated at tables, the restart closes them.

6

CoinPoker

CoinPoker needs nothing else. In its window, turn on Keep this site's hands and press Save. There is no folder to choose and no restart: every table you sit at is picked up, and every hand is kept.

7

Play a hand

Sit down at a table. When the first hand finishes, the site's hand count in Settings › Poker sites goes up, the table appears on Live Tables and the hand shows on the Session screen.

Hands you played before you set PokerLens up, or hands from another tracker, can be brought in from Import Hands on the rail. See Import from PokerTracker 4.

If it doesn't work

  • WPN hands aren't counted: open Configure and check that the hand history folder is the one your client writes to, and that the screen name matches yours exactly.
  • ClubWPT Gold isn't tracking: a strip saying Not tracking. Hands are not being kept. means the client still needs its restart. Click the strip and accept the restart.
  • A site's poker client updated and hands stopped: PokerLens offers new versions of each site when it opens. See Keep PokerLens up to date.
