Use the RNG

How-to Updated 8 Oct 2026

Put a random number from 1 to 100 on every table, so you can mix your play the way a solver does.

Solvers often play a hand two ways: raise 30% of the time and call the rest, for example. The RNG (random number generator) makes that easy to do honestly at the table: PokerLens shows a random number from 1 to 100 on every table, and you let it decide.

1

Turn the RNG on

Click Settings on the rail, choose Overlays, and in the RNG panel switch on Show the RNG on every table.

The RNG is on when you first install PokerLens, so you may only need to check it. The change reaches your open tables straight away.

2

Find the number on your table

Each table shows its number near its top left corner. Every table rolls its own number, so two tables side by side show different ones.

The number rolls again by itself every 3 seconds. If you want a fresh one right now, click it.

3

Read the number against your frequency

Decide your split before you look, then read the number:

  • To take a play 30% of the time, take it when the number is 30 or under, and take the other play when it is 31 or over.
  • To split three ways, say 20% bet big, 30% bet small and 50% check: bet big on 1–20, bet small on 21–50 and check on 51–100.

Because every number from 1 to 100 is equally likely, this lands on the frequencies you chose over many hands.

Decide which end of the range goes with which play once, and keep it that way (for example, low numbers are always the aggressive option). It saves you a moment of thinking on every decision.

4

Move it if it covers something

If the number sits on top of something you want to see on a particular site, you can drag it somewhere else. See Place the overlays on the felt.

If it doesn't work

  • No number on a table: the RNG is drawn together with the HUD. If the table has no HUD at all, see Move the HUD panels or restart the HUD.
  • Clicking the number doesn't roll it: while Place panels is turned on, a click picks the number up to drag it instead of rolling it. Turn Place panels off on the Live Tables screen.
  • The number disappeared on every table: the RNG, like the other overlays, is not drawn once your license or trial has ended. See Small Stakes, Pro and your trial.
